Detailed description of 4-car non-articulated trains built by Armstrong-Whitworth and Co, and Birmingham Railway Carriage and Wagon Co, for operation on 5-ft 3 in. gage lines near Atlantic seaboard of Brazil; power provided by 4-stroke Armstrong-Sulzer 6LDA25 engine pressure charged on Buechi exhaust gas turbo system; 6 cyl have bore of 250 mm and stroke of 350 mm, and are set to give max output of 600 bhp at 750 rpm.
