By removing detector bars, providing electric locking, replacing semaphores with light signals, installing new 83-lever interlocking machine and new system of circuits and wiring distribution, Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul and Pacific railroad has rehabilitated and modernized electro-pneumatic interlocking in Chicago; elimination of 18 main line derails, 4 switches, and 3 movable point frogs permitted reduction in number of levers required.
