Thompson and Sons, Ltd, Sunderland, for Silver Line, Ltd; length oa 465 ft 1 1/2 in.; breadth molded 58 ft 8 1/2 in.; depth molded to shelter deck 39 ft 3 3/4 in.; propelling machinery, which drives single screw through reduction gearing, consists of turbines developing 4550 shp at 110 rpm; steam supplied at pressure of 400 lb per sq in. at 750 F.
