3333 ton steamship Lord Worden for Channel service by William Denny and Brothers of Dumbarton for British Railways, has length of 361 ft 6 in., breadth 59 ft, depth 17 ft 9 in. service speed 20 knots; driven by set of geared turbines of latest Pametrada design developing 8000 shp at 270 rpm; steam supplied by two integral furnace type boilers is generated at 350 psi and superheated to 650 F.
