Information on techniques for utilizing launched or catapult collisions, high speed self-propelled collisions, and static crushing including collisions between car and dummy pedestrian, devised by Fiat for testing automobiles; equipment for simulating driver functions consists of 10-channel radio link to pneumatic servo controls operating steering wheel rotation, longitudinal and lateral movement of gearshift, accelerator, clutch and brake; adoption of helicopter control has eliminated psychological problems and also dangers of four cars, two manned, approaching each other at speed; reference is made to paper by Enzo Franchini of Fiat Auto-Avia Research Laboratories.
