London Midland and Scottish Railway has completed, to designs of W. A. STAIER, first of new series of corridor brake composite first and third-class coaches; length 60 ft 1 in., width 8 ft 11 1/4 in., wheelbase 9 ft 0 in.; particular features are provision of arm rests and specially sprung and upholstered seats in third-class compartments.
