Method has been tried in case of vessel built by Chantiers de Penhoet at Saint-Nazaire, and comparison of curve obtained, with curve given by method of Board of Trade, showed very close agreement in results, relative error being maximum at ends, and amounting to between 1 and 2% on safe side.
