Saturn/Apollo Program uses two launch vehicles, Saturn IB and Saturn V; first consists of S-IVB stage and S-IB stage while second consists of S-IVB stage, S-II stage and S-IC stage; propellant loading requirements for both vehicles are shown; elements involved in providing accurate on-board quantities of propellants are propellants sensors, storage and transfer facilities, and system to monitor sensors and control transfer; functions and operation of Propellant Tanking Computer System (PTCS) which performs propellant monitor and control function for both vehicles; electromechanical control system is designed to automatically control cryogenic propellant replenish valves using data from vehicle or ground located sensors.
