General expression for drifting moment about vertical axis of oscillating ship in regular oblique waves is derived from potential theory; explicit analytical solutions for drifting side force and yaw moment on thin ships in long waves are obtained; effect of wave frequency, draft of ship, displacement, and phase angle of ship oscillation are discussed.
