Application of two-dimensional hydrodynamic theory to obtain drifting force per unit length on two-dimensional body, with object of applying it to ship forms by strip method; simple formula is obtained; satisfactory agreement between theory and experiment is shown by results for model of Series 60, block coefficient 0.70 ship.
