Two mechanical defects which are prevalent, namely, cracking of white-metal linings in connecting-rod big end bearings, and cylinder wear; systems of working in use today in connection with gas-pressure conditions; five different classes of heavy-oil engines together with characteristics of their pressures and pressure changes.
