Criteria and program developed to satisfy reliability requirements for U S Air Force first stage Minuteman motor case; process surveillance and analysis program by Thiokol Chemical Corp and Allison Div of General Motors Corp provided high reliability of cases in Minuteman program without preproduction demonstration at allocated level of reliability for part; specifications used as criteria for program together with resulting implementation are outlined.
