Design and mechanical parts of locomotive converted from E-244 locomotives into multi-system locomotive, using EKB 750-50 traction motors so that experience could also be gathered with locomotive with simple a-c equipment; maximum speed of converted locomotive was fixed at 100 km/h; locomotive has total weight of 80.5 tons including about 37 tons accounted for by electric equipment; one-hour rating amounts to 2400 kw at 70 km/h for both 16.2/3 and 50 cps; detailed description of electric equipment, motors and control systems.
