Complicated and varied character of shipyard makes transport analysis difficult; procedure that may be used in such investigations is illustrated on basis of practical experience, and involves frequency study, process analysis, and surveys of need for transport; equipment (tractors, trucks, cranes), type and size of load, personnel involved, etc, are taken into account.
