Of parameters that may be adjusted to give helicopter freedom from ground resonance, that which is ignored most frequently is ratio of effective rotor mass to effective fuselage mass; if it is considered early in design of fuselage, ground resonance problem can be greatly reduced or eliminated by consideration of this parameter alone; investigation of influence of dynamic properties on rotor to fuselage effective mass ratio and its effect on stability boundaries; results obtained.
