Rotor studied used jet flap for cyclic and collective pitch control and for propulsion; 5 degrees of freedom considered were flapping, teetering, bending, torsion, and jet deflection; analyses to determine effects of various parameters on aeroelastic behavior of rotor were conducted in IBM 704 computer; parameters considered were chord-wise center-of-gravity and elastic-axis positions, bending-torsion frequency ratio and jet-blowing coefficient.
