100 modernized roller bearing locomotives, supplemented by ten new locomotives, also equipped with roller bearings, are proving vital factor in handling record breaking passenger and freight traffic, on Chicago, Rock Island and Pacific Railroad; new locomotives are all oil burners with fuel capacity of 5500 gal and water capacity 21,500 gal; improvements made to locomotives purchased in 1929 and 1930, are described.
