Experience of lines west of Buffalo in stabilizing 36,379 ft of track during last 4 yr, employing pneumatic method and relatively rich sand-cement grout, and small, flexible crews, 16 of which are being organized for work to be done during 1945; results cited show unstable conditions completely overcome, with savings over former maintenance costs and elimination of speed restrictions due to soft track.
