Of all classes of new vessels developed by Maritime Commission during War, largest and most powerful is P2-Se2-R1; these ships, some already in service as troop transports, are fitted with twin screw turbine electric drive which incorporates some unusual features; description of these features; trial trip data on performance of dynamic braking system for propulsion motor.
