Examples of steam, electric, and internal-combustion units used for transporting material and parts in Crewe Locomotive Works area; concrete paths have been laid down in works' yards; on these paths electric trucks and gasoline tractors are used; trucks are of platform type and convey cylinders between iron foundry, heavy machine shop and erecting shop; gasoline tractors are each of 22 hp.; they haul trailers and convey material between brass-finishing shop, tender shop, machine shop, etc.
