One of largest low temperature stratosphere chambers ever built, 19 ft 6 in. wide × 15 ft high × 22 in. long, installed by Crosley Division of Avco Manufacturing Corp, built by Tenney Engineering, Inc; first such unit to be cooled by cascade refrigeration system; chamber simulates altitudes to 80,000 ft along with corresponding temperatures; Freon-13 and Freon-12 used.
