Vibrations encountered on motor vehicle during braking originate from forced or resonance oscillations of suspensions or other structural elements, excited by pulsations of braking moment; source must be sought in irregularities of drum shape which cause pressure pulsations in brake control hydraulic circuit, (as result of oscillations imposed on brake shoes), and which cause, at each turn, continuous variations in "mating" conditions between drum and brake shoes; results obtained from bench determinations and road determinations.
