Work was carried out to investigate reasons for, and as far as possible to remove, uncertainty in correlation of resistance and propulsion test results to full-sized ship; results for Froude, Schoenherr, ITTC 1957, and Schulz-Grunow methods are compared to measurements made on board full-sized ship; new methods of correlation were developed for correlation function of viscous resistance, correlation function of wake and working out of basis for correlation of thrust deduction fraction; comparison of five methods is shown in table; it is noted results are summary of extensive data.
