Method of model-ship correlation analysis which takes propeller scale and roughness effects into consideration; proposed method for estimating characteristics of actual propeller uses equivalent profile method; latter was checked on artificially roughened 500-mm Troost-type propeller; correlation factors obtained from analysis of some 40 vessels showed more consistent plotting than those obtained by usual method which neglects propeller scale effect; wake correction faction is no longer function of Reynolds number, and empirical expression was derived.
