Vertical accelerations, water pressures on hull and stresses in longitudinal frames were recorded while ship was in service (March to May 1967); from these measurements relative motion between ship and wave was also estimated; ship sailed in ballast from Europe to Persian Gulf through Suez Canal, from there on to Japan in full load returning to Persian Gulf in ballast, and then back to Europe around Cape of Good Hope in full load; it was of about 95,000 tons displacement, 252 m length bp, 39 m molded breadth, 18 m molded depth, and about 14 m draft.
