Gotaverken AB have incorporated their new system for control of main engine from bridge or engine room in refrigerated cargo ship Priboj built for Sudoimport, of Moscow; pneumatic design uses air from starting air receivers reduced to 8 atm, carefully dehumidified and cleaned; pneumatically controlled governor is installed on main engine, and controlling air pressure is supplied by control valve coupled to console on bridge giving stepless remote control; ship is of 8650 tons dw, length and breadth being 515 and 70 ft respectively; output of 7-cyl diesel engine is 8750 bhp at 112 rpm.
