Central electric turbogenerator system mounted in fuselage of very large long range bombers with power transmitted electrically to propellers on wings, can effect valuable fuel savings because wings may be redesigned to have lower drag and number of turbo-generators in operation at any time may be chosen so that each unit can operate at maximum efficiency.
