Presentation based on research conducted by British Overseas Airways Corp in anticipation of introduction of turbine transports on its routes; high operating altitudes are necessary for economy; cruising will be carried out at maximum practical rpm; for medium and long ranges cruise will be carried out at slow climb; maximum rate of climb should be used to attain economical altitudes as fast as possible.
