Concept study, based on principle of total productivity vs cost, was applied by Int Harvester Co in development of 180 payhauler, rear dump vehicle of 45-ton rated capacity; establishment of parameters of productivity, function and form which include payload size, hp/ ton GVW, payload weight ratio, tire application evaluation, body weight/yd of capacity, turning circle, limits of maneuverability, suspension and stability, tractive effort, frame design, dumping efficiency, body and chassis form, and tractor application; components and systems of vehicle.
