Noise caused by running vehicles comes from number of sources; it may be roughly divided into two kinds: one caused directly and indirectly by vibration of running vehicles and other directly by various mechanical parts; comparative loudness of whole noise caused by each kind of rolling stock and characteristics of each source, for instance, body, truck, or accessories are given.
