Because of unstable subgrade conditions, many special track-work installations on Terminal Railroad Assn of St. Louis were pressure grouted nearly 4 yr ago; this treatment has proven effective, track holding up well under heavy traffic of war years, with substantial reductions in maintenance; conditions existing at several locations prior to treatment, methods used and results obtained, are described.
