Advantages of weighing cars in motion and considerations needed in design of scale to obtain acceptable degree of accuracy are discussed; features of Canadian National A-105-10 electronic scale for weighing cars uncoupled in motion recently designed by research and development department of Canadian National Railways and specifically developed for motion weighing applications.
