Srivichai is first of series of four coastal tankers, each of about 1930 tons dw, building for Thai Petroleum Transport Co by Smith's Dock Co; vessels were designed by Shell Tankers Ltd; features include twin screw geared diesel propulsion, diesel engine driven cargo oil pumps, bridge control of main machinery and ejector discharging systems for bilge and ballast water; length oa 81.60 m, breadth molded 12.60 m, depth molded 6 m, design draft (tropical) 3. 70 m; maximum continuous rating of each of two engines supplied by Mirrlees National Ldt is 528 bhp at 650 rpm.
