Laboratory carburetor icing test using single cylinder engine applied at Atlantic Refining Co, is easy to operate, requires less than gallon of fuel per test, correlates well with full scale icing tests in cold room and is of value as fuel and fuel-additive screening test; details of instrumentation and techniques used in road tests to separate icing stalls from nonicing stalls to determine relationship between laboratory procedures and field performance.
