Types of vibration occurring in car operating on various road surfaces, causes, and possible influence of tires; measurements carried out at various points on car alternately fitted with standard and radial cord tires show 2 groups of behavior; on rough roads, natural vibrations either local, or of structure as whole, prevail; on smooth roads, vibrations even up to high orders forced by wheels are most important; recordings on magnetic tape and power spectra analyses with computer are used to compare effects of both tire types.
