Using hundred ship model correlations for single-screw tankers on acceptance trials, relations for prediction of (1 + x) and K2 are derived and discussed; these apply, respectively, to effective horsepower deduced from trial corrected to still air condition and that estimated from model using 1957 International Towing Tank Conference line, to rate of propeller revolution observed in trial and that estimated from model.
