Provisional figures issued by French Shipbuilders' Assn show that during year 1964 total of 100 vessels of 545,000 tons gross were completed (23 vessels of 303,700 tons gross for foreign owners); 80 vessels of 595,000 tons were laid down (20 vessels of 272,000 tons gross for foreign owners); and of 83 vessels of other tonnage, 16 for foreign owners came to 260,000 tons gross; these include passenger and cargo ships, tankers, fishing vessels, tugs, dredgers, etc, which are listed in table.
