Analysis of metal requirements for 150-hp regenerative gas turbine automobile engine; estimates are based on 150-hp regenerative marine engine under development at Williams Research Corp for Outboard Marine Corp; most critical component is first stage turbine blading; other critical components and parts for relatively high temperatures; availability of cobalt and minor alloying elements; it is found that supply of essential alloying elements will not be deterrent to development of gas turbine.
