Exhaust emissions were measured from Chrysler gas turbine automobile operating on road and on dynamometer; tests 1 and 2 were run with fuel in vehicle tank as received from Chrysler, mixture of diesel 1 and diesel 2; diesel 1 fuel was used in remaining earlier tests, and white, unleaded gasoline was used in last four tests; tests were made after both hot and cold starts; exhaust emissions, measured both as mass and as concentration, were considerably lower than those from conventional automobile; composition of hydrocarbon emissions generally reflected structure of fuel being burned; variables selected for each of 19 tests performed; results obtained, and other data are tabulated.
