It is proposed that principles of interaction tuning and vibration isolation be considered as one subject and used in conjunction to achieve simultaneous improvement in riding qualities and fatigue life of helicopter; outline of new concepts, showing good correlation with theory, which move helicopter toward goal of smooth-riding, long-lived vehicle in 170-250 mph class.
