Perhaps most interesting feature of Liverpool and Manchester Railway Centenary Celebrations, held at Liverpool was "Train of 1830," which carried passengers around circular railway specially laid down on Wavertree ground; engine is of inside cylinder, 0-4-2 type which was one of forms of 6-wheeled engine introduced by Robert Stephenson in 1833; driving wheels are 5 ft. diam. and trailing pair 42 in. diam.; valve gear is of four eccentric type.
