Truck carries load of 7 tons; actual fuel consumption is stated to be one gallon of crude oil in from 10 to 14 mi.; engine is of McLaren-Benz airless-injection type; power is transmitted from engine to gear-box, through clutch of reverse-cone type with Ferodo facings, by means of short propeller shaft fitted with Hardy-Spicer fabric joints at each end.
