Noise suppressors used on Boeing variable sweep SST include exhaust noise suppressor capable of 3 PNdb jet noise suppression and inlet noise suppressor which eliminates compressor noise; it is predicted that noise levels of this airplane will be lower than those of current intercontinental subsonic jets; noise generated by SST could be substantially modified by way aircraft will be operated.
