Engines for Concord supersonic transport are developed jointly by SNEC MA and Bristol Siddeley Engines Ltd; basic engine is derived from Olympus engine and responsibility for this part will rest with Bristol Siddeley Engines Ltd, but jet pipe, propelling nozzle, thrust reverser and noise suppressor will be responsibility of SNECMA; choice of engine cycle; bench testing of engine at sea level conditions; analysis of flight plan and necessity for air-cooled turbine blades; fuel temperatures, exhaust system and power plant installation.
