At request of Federal Aviation Agency, Ad Hoc Group of CRC reviewed technical information available concerning safe handling and usage of aviation gasolines, Jet A (Kerosene), and Jet B (JP-4), used as commercial aviation fuels; report consists of digest of pertinent information and its significance to commercial aviation including supporting data; special Task Force prepared second part of report which deals with technical aspects of fuel and flammability, flammability of fuel-air mixtures, ignition of fuel-air mixtures, and aircraft environmental factors affecting fuels and their ignition; conclusions and recommendations.
