H. F. De Bardeleben is first pulverized-coal burning vessel operating from Gulf ports; steel vessel built on transverse system 380 ft. in length, 53 ft. beam, 23 ft. 6 in. draft, and 7500 deadweight tons; in converting ship into bulk commodity carrier, Todd unit system of pulverized-fuel burning was installed; remodeled vessel has five cargo holds and 12 hatches; Leathern D.
