Diesel-electric boarding tug being constructed by Spedden Shipbuilding Co., Baltimore, Md.; 100 ft. 8 in. in length o.a., 22 ft. molded beam and her draft loaded will be 11 ft.; propelled by two 325-hp. Fairbanks, Morse, Diesel engines each driving 205-kw. Westinghouse main electric propulsion motor developing 500 hp. at 175 r.p.m.; speed 12 knots; wrought iron plates and rivets employed to combat corrosion in underbody of hull.
