Design of 2-10-0 locomotive built at Crewe Works, intended principally for mineral traffic; boiler pressure 250 psi; tractive effort 39,667 lb; frames are particularly rigid and wheel balancing system reduces "wheel" hammer blow (but not "axle" hammer blow) and saves 2 cwt of balance weight.
