Boston, Revere Beach and Lynn R.R. begins electric operation; railroad has double track from East Boston to Lynn, distance of 9 mi.; each motor car is equipped with two General Electric 60-hp. 600-volt, d.c. railway motors; line construction; automatic signal system has been changed to operate throughtransformers from 2300-volt a.c. supply; substations; 60 of 96 passenger cars used in steam service have been remodeled and electrically equipped; electropneumatic brakes installed.
