Recent studies by fuel experts indicate that complete Dieselization of Amercan railways will save transportation companies more than half billion dollars annually in cost of fuel and will benefit in increased efficiency, reduced operating costs and in other ways: analysis and comparisons of statistical data on railroad fuels, costs and estimated savings by more extensive use of Diesel locomotives.
